What to bring to your appointment:

  • Medicare card and private health insurance information i.e. fund and membership number
  • A referral from your General Practitioner, family doctor or specialist
  • All pertinent reports and test results from your primary care or referring doctor
  • A list of all medications that you are currently taking
  • A list of any known drug allergies and the symptoms you may have from taking these medicines
  • Details of any treating therapists e.g. physio
  • Xrays, CT, MRI and any other imaging relevant to your condition.

If you need to cancel an appointment:

Telephone the office during business hours (8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.) and allow at least 1 day’s notice so that we can offer your appointment time to patients on our waiting list. We recognise that your time is valuable, and we make every effort to run on time. Occasionally emergencies or patients require a little more time, and these cause scheduling delays beyond our control. We apologise if we keep you waiting.

Before seeing any medical specialist, it is always preferable to talk to your own family doctor, who can discuss your condition with you and advise on whether any specialist care is appropriate. If it is, he or she can help you to choose the specialist best suited to your needs. Your family doctor can help the specialist to care for you better by providing relevant information about your health. Communicating with the specialist will also enable your family doctor to care for you better during and after your specialist treatment.
Rest assured that your family doctor will receive a full and thorough report relating to each and every visit to a specialist at Neuron in a timely fashion.

If your condition is related to a workplace injury and you have an accepted or pending WorkCover claim please advise our staff at the time of booking your appointment.
WorkCover patients are seen in our Triage clinics which are held on fortnightly basis at either of our locations.
We do require details regarding your claim i.e. Claim Number, Case Manager’s name and contact number. WorkCover consultations must have prior written approval to proceed. Your assistance in providing this information in a timely fashion will help us expedite your appointment.

Yes we do. We will however require details of your DVA status i.e. Gold or White Card number. Please provide these details when you call our rooms to book your appointment.
In the case of WHITE card holders we require a copy of confirmation in writing from DVA of your accepted condition/s.
Please bring your GOLD or WHITE Card with you to your appointment.
